Shoplifter<>Shapeshifter

Shoplifter<>Shapeshifter is a highly visual walkabout performance from Creative Electric that celebrates body positivity, performed by a cast of queer and disabled performers.

It was inspired by a NSPCC report that stated that numbers of young people shoplifting had increased for the first time in over a decade. 

Shoplifter<>Shapeshifter draws on surveillance culture to create eery body sculptures with performers in colour block suits and eyeball masks. Whilst the performers may seem unnerving at first they slowly build a relationship with audience members, creating sculptures influenced by the audiences body language.
